Day 1, 16 April Cairo Arrive in Cairo today and transfer to your hotel for overnight stay. (D)

Day 2, 17 April Cairo After breakfast you will depart for Memphis, the capital of the Old Kingdom, to see the statue of Ramses II and then continue to Sakkara where the step pyramid of Zozer stands. Giza with its Pyramids & the Sphinx will be your last stop before your return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay. (B,L,D)

Day 3, 18 April Cairo Morning tour of the Egyptian museum, housing a magnificent collection of antiquities. At the afternoon tour the Citadel, the medieval fortress of Salah El Din & location of the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali. Roam through the ancient twisting passages of Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s famous bazaar and then return to your hotel where you will enjoy dinner. (B,L,D)

Day 4, 19 April Cairo – Alexandria Today you will leave Cairo to Alexandria, one of the most cosmopolite Mediterranean cities. Visit the Catacombs, Pompey’s Pillar and the Greco-Roman Museum, which houses a rich collection from antiquities dating from the 3rd century B.C. After lunch at a first class local restaurant you will be transferred to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Alexandria. (B,L,D)

Day 5, 20 April Alexandria – El Alamein Drive 104 Km west of Alexandria to El-Alamein, site of one of the strategic battlegrounds of World War II. Visit the underground military Hospital, the British, Italian & German Cemeteries & the Tanks area. Overnight stay in El-Alamein. (B,L,D)

Day 6, 21 April El – Alamein - Alexandria Return to Alexandria today via the King Mariut, a delightful little oasis only 44 km from the city. Continue to visit the New Library before your check-in at your hotel for dinner and overnight stay. (B,L,D)

Day 7, 22 April Alexandria – Cairo – Istanbul Early morning transfer to Cairo Airport where you will board your international flight to Istanbul. Arrive in Istanbul at early afternoon and transfer to your hotel for overnight stay. (B,L,D)

Day 8, 23 April Istanbul –Canakkale Leave Istanbul to Canakkale today, crossing the Dardanelles Strait. After proceeding to your hotel amble time to relax before an afternoon specially prepared presentation by the Hon Peter Collins, your tour leader for the Anzac tour. Dinner and overnight stay in Canakkale. (B,L,D)

Day 9, 24 April Anzac Cove – Canakkale Leave in the morning for a complete tour of the Gallipoli Peninsula. You will visit the War Museum at Kabatepe, the North Beach, the Anzac Cove, the Beach Cemetary, the Lone Pine Cemetery and Chunuk Bair. Return to your hotel in Canakkale by late afternoon where you will have some amble time to relax and prepare for your midnight departure for the Dawn Service. (B,L,D)

Day 10, 25 April Dawn Service – Anzac Day – Canakkale Your departure has been organised early before midnight in order to arrive at ANZAC Cove before 03:00 am and secure space for the Dawn Service. We recommend that you take adequate clothing or a sleeping bag for a more comfortable wait amongst your fellow Australian and New Zealand travellers until the Dawn Service at 05:30 am. After the emotional service you will have your light breakfast (box breakfast) and some free time around the Anzac Cove. Coaches will then transfer you to the memorial services at Lone Pine Cemetery and Chunuk Bair. Spend the rest of the day around the sites (box lunch included) before your return to Canakkale for dinner and overnight stay. (B,L.D)

Day 11, 26 April Canakkale – Istanbul Having experience the commemorations for the 92nd anniversary of the battle at Gallipoli you will return today to Istanbul. Dinner and overnight stay. (B,L,D)

Day 12, 27 April Istanbul Start your day visiting the Blue Mosque, the Roman Hippodrome, St Sophia museum known as the 8th wonder of the world, the Suleymaniye Mosque and the Grand Bazaar that houses nearly 4000 shops of antiques, jewellery, gold, carpets & leatherwear. Enjoy lunch at a fine local restaurant and then continue to visit the Topkapi Palace, the imperial residence of the Ottoman Sultans and the Spice Market, an oriental shopping area where spices, herbs, vegetables and fruits add colour and smells on the unique atmosphere of the place. Early evening return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay. (B,L,D)

Day 13, 28 April Istanbul After breakfast you will be transferred to Istanbul airport for your departure flight. (B)
